Secrets tucked in Natures Kiss

Secrets tucked in Natures Kiss

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Whereupon the Knight did impart a sweet kiss on her Heart...

"
In the folds of a Rose on petals soft there was a Kiss

with rose hips and divine passion...

A Maiden fair with golden hair with Bosoms full

spent her days in waiting for Prince Charming...

Lo, Winter will pass for each Lad and Lass...

with Swords of Adventure they mount their Steeds

at great speed... venturing to Wed a Maiden Pure...

And there in the Bowers... Promises made...

When Spring blossomed and Roses opened...

Do I hear a suggestion of winters thaw and springs sprung?
I do hope so. Its Ben so chilly hear that I forgot there were more seasons other than hibernation.
I tell myself that everyone has it bad right now, what with the cost of living, fuel and inflation, but at least we know there are others in much worse situations.
Let's hope we all get through it Pat.

I enjoyed reading your poem. On a technical note, you have typed "steads" where I believe you intended "Steeds". A steed is a great horse or a warhorse whereas a "stead" is a place... i.e. "homestead", "instead" etc. the latter meaning "in place of". I like the tale you build around the characters of the seasons here and their inevitable romance of change. Wonderfully wrought. Bless, F.
