Frankincense, Myrr and Gold

Frankincense, Myrr and Gold

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

As Winter spreads diamonds over the fields... the Wise Men on Camels follow the Star to Bethlehem... The cattle are loweing, Jesus awakes, but no crying he makes... the Shepherds keep their Sheep.

"
A Romantic Interlude to set the Mood.

A right jolly Green Elf with bells on his toes

 and a  Red-headed Wood Pecker

calling in Morse Code... reminding

all Kids from Two to Ninety-Two to be

Soldiers of the Milky Way and to

mind their Manners every day...

if they want presents and Mistletoe kisses... Amen

so birds can be quite romantic and in this scene they certainly are.....at the perfect time of the year...when most of us are merry and jolly....they can also be the ones to settle the kids to be good for Santa to dazzle them with gifts galore......birds are amazing, maybe more than humans...
best wishes to you for the new year!!!
Love, B

A lovely poem of Christmas here dear Pat. Reminds me so much of the nativity scene that our little ones would participate in at primary school. The three wise men beating gifts for the baby Jesus. I loved those times and all the singing of the Christmas carols. Sending you and yours all good wishes and hoping for a happy and healthy new year for your household.

Mistletoe 💋 😘 Merry Christmas Johnnie x
Frankincense, Myrr and Gold, these were the gifts of the three wise men to Baby Jesus.
And our gifts to Him, our hearts and souls.
The winter is spreading and the Bethlehem Star is up in every home.
I can also hear the Red-headed Wood Pecker calling in Morse Code.
Such enchantment for all the kids from Two to Ninety-Two!
Whatever be our Christmas Gifts on earth, we have already received our biggest gift from God as the Baby Most Divine.
Such a timely and celebratory poem for the event of all auspicious events!
Your words are Christmas gifts in themselves, dear Pat.
And I'm certainly minding my manners as the countdown begins!
