Winter Birds

Winter Birds

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Winging their Way to your Door...

"
When Winter Storms are at your Door

under the Roof of Welcome Home

Our winged friends sing their Song.

Bright Red Cardinals appear every Year...

They bring their feathery friends

the Purple Finch with beautiful Raspberry tones...

Poinsettias will soon be seen among the Green

with Blue lights and a Bright Star for the

Wise Men to follow as we choose the Path

to a Safe Harbor for all that Seek Peace and Love...

You're Welcome, Patricia!
You've got me lost in you meaning, you start with a Winter storm, but birds will leave it before it comes, should we need our feather friends or heed man , love how it comes together, it makes me think of meaning.
Thank you for sharing.
Good write .

A lovely ode to the winter birds…. We need them for song, comfort and wink of warmth…. Those cardinals look so red against the whiteness of the frigid…..but winter only lasts as slow as the poinsettias emerge…..crisp ever blue sky makes our path easy to follow…..

We did have a Thrush stop by, Stellar Jays earlier and when the temp drops like it has, we are a refuge for close to a hundred Blackcap, Chickadee and Towhees who wait in our back garden for us to wake every morning
