An Angel's Flight

I want to fly with Peter Pan ... holding his Hand.. 

visiting the Castles in Scotland where Pipers  play 

dancing with my Violin singing  the Tunes  of Ireland... 

I want to be Tinker-belle and smile with dimples 

when Life  is keeping me sequestered with pressures... 

I want to visit the White Cliffs of Dover and be with 

my Lover... the haunting times remembered when 

Kisses were a Commitment of forevermore... Je t' adore...

I lived in a city where many people had a peter-pan-complex where they didn't want to get older or grow.. wants to lie about their age or live the life of someone in a different time. Seems it is something that should remain a fantasy as we have to keep growing with the times that change is. But reminiscing can be fun, as long as you don't try to live there permanently. After all, Neverland is a fantasy place. Look what it did to Michael Jackson.. he created Neverland to soothe his childhood wounds and it ended up causing him more pain than love, unfortunately. This was not his intentions.

Every time I'm reminded of Peter Pan I remember one of my favorite movies with Robin Williams called Hook. That movie was so magical and its message timeless. That even as an old adult we should never lose the exuberance of youth, nor stop dreaming of fairytales. CLE

Dear, dear Pat when the going gets tough, that's when we need our make believe and thought flight most. I loved the story of Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbelle my nan would read to me many years ago. As to the white cliffs of Dover, they will always represent romance and homecoming and of course the wonderful Vera Lynn. Your final three lines touched me so much. Dream them dear Pat. MOI AUSSI! I adore all things peter pan. I had all 3 books. My other favorites were The Little Witch, Little Witch, Mary Poppins ( all of them) and all of the Pippi Longstockings books
Barrie was from Kirrimuir, near where my ancestors came from ( Glasgow, Edinburgh, Houston, Perth)
Can I fly along on your adventure?
This was fun to read, ignited my imagination, but at the same times there are undertones of bittersweet, especially in the word "haunting".
