Once having hiked through a forest of Belgian bluebells makes this poem a special read. In that same journey it was also quite an experience to be swallowed up in field upon field of Holland's tulips. A bit sad was not being able to enter Vincent's museum as I was short of the entrance fee at the time in guilders during those pre-Euro travels. Beautiful poem to go with unforgettable memories. Thanks for sharing.

How beautiful it must be to behold all that beauty.
You painted those tulips so exquisitely and I reveled in their beauty.
Spring must be heavenly in Netherlands. Hope to see it some day....

I believe the Belgium Bluebells were so beautiful. We have many flower festivals in Michigan. I try to go to them. It is a blessing dear Pet to be surrounded by the gifts of nature. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

This made me think of my youth Patricia, but only because I grew up in a place where the local woods were called the bluebell woods. I hunted for those flowers for a whole summer once and not a one was to be found.
I wish I'd known then that they were all in Belgium, it would have saved my feet some blisters. 😊
Thank you for your lovely memory making me remember my own 😊
Ps... Can't find a bluebell emoji, so have a Belgian flag instead 🇧🇪

I worked as a Secretary in a few U.S. Patent and Trademark Offices in Washington, D.C. One of their Clients was held the Copyright of The Blue Smurfs. He lived in Belgium, and visited our Office for about four days in D.C. The Attorneys and Secretaries brought in Blue Surf Items for him to "sign, e.g. little stuffed Smurmphettes and boy Smurf characters (to give to their children and grandchildren. I loved working about ten years in several different Private Patent Offices, and I typed a lot of Specifications for Patents .. referred to as Intellectual Property. I met some Inventors from other Countries. I was fortunate to be involved with Chemists and Electrical Engineers. It gave me a perspective for Poetry... to broaden my Horizon. Beautiful images in your short poem Pat. I have never been to Belgium or the Netherlands, but I can assure you that the woods near where I live are magnificent in spring with their bluebell carpet. My favourite time of the year. Tulips are also a favourute. Spring the season of renewal. Your poem a feast and Starry Night an impressive impressionist painting. Love it. Have a very Happy Saturday.
