Midnight Storms

Midnight Storms

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

the Sky is an ampitheatre of Stars in waiting...

"
As the Heavens Rain on Crepe Myrtle trees ...

I Believe in Fuzzy Bumble Bees that will

Pollinate each bright Red blossom...

Lightening strikes and Thunder Roars

to the Beat of Sandpiper Tweets...

Yellow Poppies bask in Summer Showers

Earth Angels Hum as Lambs Run among

the Geese and Ducklings where

Deer have Slept and Birds build Nests

High in the Silver Pine Trees...

Be Blessed... now and forever...

Hello dear Pat. You are welcome and I hope you are enjoying the days of Summer.
What a wonderful poem. Your poems about nature always bring me to a place of peace.
There is no real balance in nature but it seems to yield to each other, at times overtake the other. These overlapping moments are priceless.

The quality of light after a storm is the best. Everything looks vibrant and sharply in focus. Nature has many wonders to show us, even if she can be overwhelming and destructive sometimes! A nicely penned piece!

storms are the best... how they gather, the darkness within them, the destruction they leave paving the way for new life.... even the gentle rain has healing powers.... I remember sitting by the front room window as the torrential rains pour down and a literal river flowed down our street... this was when I was 7 and it was the remnants of hurricane Hazel... the wind rattled the window and howled, it was both terrifying as well as fascinating.... your poem took me back to 1954 Patricia.... thanks for the trip back and for a wonderful poem...

Why do people complain so, whenever it rains? It is a much needed commodity for all of nature's life to grow, as it replenishes the very earth we walk on. Lovely piece, Pat. So much beauty to be found between the lines. Is the quote yours?

And after the storm, the clouds part and the sun breaks through to find all in the garden rosy. Your beautiful words of nature are a gift to us all Pat. Such an optimistic poem in challenging times. Sending love across a sparling sea.

Thank you dear friend, and reciprocated too :)
Thankful for the heavens that spread their wings and allow the clouds to open, rain pellets to fall and nourish our amazing flowers in spring... also thankful for the bees that pollinate and spread beauty from blossom to blossom, while the birds sing them a symphony....
Gorgeous!
