Hi Pat,
Hope you and your family are doing well …
A couple of days ago a pale purple appeared in our garden … came from who know what …
We have three huge groups of white irises left by the former owners.
This Thursday I hired a gardener to come.
We will dig them up.. separate them and replant in a better location… I think I will have at least 50!!
Such fun..
So enjoyed you lovely love poem.

I loved the poetry dear Pat. Interlacing of two flowers create a perfect combination of beauty. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Their softness and so fragile... they weather the wind and rain as though it gives them strength. I hope to do the same. It is lovely to have warm weather from time to time. I am still waiting to see a Rainbow. I appreciate your visit. Softly, Pat
An imaginative, feel good poem! I see this as a tribute to both floral beauty and to love itself. Delightful!

Aw a love poem, flower filled. I do like the purple headed iris. We used to have them Pat by our pond but no more. Killed off one cold winter. I think you are very partial to beards. May you and your fella have many more happy days together. Your poems are always packed with the delights of nature. Sending love across the wide waters..

At our previous Home I had Iris that my Aunt June had given to us; however they did eventually die … one was White with Purple. Friends were in Awe. The RyeZones in each one can get a disease and infect other Iris. My aunt June was very meticulous to check constantly for disease. She was President of the DelMarVa Iris Club for Years and she is now in Heaven. Sometimes Roger lets his Beard get way too Bushy… I prefer him clean shaven. Roger’s Father was a larger Man and had a Bushy Beard. I Believe Roger Honors his Father Ed who passed Six years ago … by having a Beard. Roger is more Gentile like his Mother Jane who also passed two years before his father Ed. Gather your Rosebuds while you May… is a good Omen. I have tinted my Auburn Hair Lavender .. so as it turns more Grey, it will be Lavender… like a Flower. Very Poetic is my Style. ❤️ love across the Waves 🌊 … Pat
Oh, the splendid love allegory here...so beautiful
or perhaps...an Iris is just an Iris, even if he has no beard.
such an intelligent love poem.

It had been Sunny less than an hour before. It became very dark about four pm and the Warning Screen on our "Smart TV ceased to be. We were so fortunate to have it pass over. Now I can concentrate on Poetry and Iris. I notice that you have a Beard going on in your Avatar. You may be mistaken for an Iris. If I chose a name for you it would be "Enlivenment" dear" Professor Higgins". Purrr... Pat
