I don't know much of rapids. I've kayaked a bit on flat water, a bit in ocean bays, but line by line I can see a dazzling view. With your words I feel like I have missed out on something and need to get my act together and check out those Terns before it is too late. Its extraordinary that one can read something, close his eyes, and be transported a little closer to heaven. Thanks Patricia. All the best.

There was an Inlet that ran through rather Tall Trees, and with Moon Beams shining through the Leaves, we experienced a Bit of Heaven.
It was an unusual Way to begin Motherhood. Now, my first-born Son Robert who his married and has two daughters, Shannon age 9 and Kahless age 7... whose Mother is Navajo Indian. Robert has inherited his Father's Grumman Canoe which has three double seats and rather long. They live now in Norfolk, Virginia, and I live in Fredericksburg, Virginia (almost a hundred miles away or less). My daughter and her children live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. So the Tradition lingers in a more gentle way-- not necessarily "White Water Rapids". gently, Pat

Rivers have a personality just as we do…. And the thundering rapids in soaking rain disturb the peace and quiet of a bird sitting peacefully on a rock, so do the white water enthusiasts…. But when the torrent passes, the sun once again turns the scene serene.
Lovely Pat….
Best

A close family member enjoyed the thrill fit all and was very skilled. I myself was taken to Lake Senaca in Virginia where Inlets at Midnight had trees on each side in a long Grumman Canoe paddled by an expert.. through moonlight beams through the trees... a sight rarely seen. I was thrilled to experience such sere beauty. The memory has brought me Peace in troubled times. Thank you Betty for stopping by. tenderly, Pat

When the Sun set about five pm... the orange/red and purple sunset became a gorgeous color against a grey overcast Sky. It was as though the Horizon was in Mourning for the people of Ukraine and the loss of beautiful lives because of Power Seekers. When you say the River has emotions... I believe the Sunset and Sky also feel the Hurt of Civilization. Our Children and Grandchildren will will cry for Humanity.
However, in the Corner of Pandora's box there is Hope.

Rivers have moods. They can play delightfully, they can soothe and calm on a summer day, but never forgetting how they can turn nasty and become dangerous. Our river Thames is like that. It can turn from a fun playground to a death trap and many have drowned in its strong current. Thinking about the moods of rivers dear Pat, I am reminded that we are like rivers. We too have our moods. Your poem is beautiful, with lovely imagery. I bet those white water enthusiasts enjoy themselves. I am mindful of how we should respect our waters. Sending warm wishes across the pond.

The locals are aware of the Area to not Swim. But other than that Area… many young adults float on inter tubes from old Tires. The white water is not as Fierce as many other Rivers; however, there are times that the Rapids are fascinating to view and stir the Imagination. ❤️ lovely to read your Review. Miniature Hyacinths have appeared along our brick sidewalk in front of our Home. The mystery of who planted them is a delight every Spring in April… they are a lovely dark bright Purple.. perhaps planted by Seeds dropped by Our feathered friends who traveled guided by a Star. Be blessed my friend across the Pond.. I adore your Reviews. tenderly, Pat
