I don't know much of rapids. I've kayaked a bit on flat water, a bit in ocean bays, but line by line I can see a dazzling view. With your words I feel like I have missed out on something and need to get my act together and check out those Terns before it is too late. Its extraordinary that one can read something, close his eyes, and be transported a little closer to heaven. Thanks Patricia. All the best.

There was an Inlet that ran through rather Tall Trees, and with Moon Beams shining through the Leaves, we experienced a Bit of Heaven.
It was an unusual Way to begin Motherhood. Now, my first-born Son Robert who his married and has two daughters, Shannon age 9 and Kahless age 7... whose Mother is Navajo Indian. Robert has inherited his Father's Grumman Canoe which has three double seats and rather long. No worries. That is an incredible story. I enjoyed your flashback as much as the poem.

How absolutely superb! Beautiful imagery I can almost imagine myself there at the water's edge. Particularly adore the last three lines.

i went white water rafting once .. it was a grade 2-3 rapids so had some excitement for this newbie ... after the rapids comes the calm .. i think your poem's contrasting is point on ma'am .. and you draw in the Divine ... kind of surprises me .. but hey ... the Creator of all things is in all things and all places after all .. isn't He!? ;) in reading, out loud, the enjambment works ... i imagined myself in one of those old smokey dives reading it for you :)))))))))))

Such a wonderfully visual and blessed poem Pat.. as ever full of the heart within its poet. Water for me is a symbol of life.. its movements, it depths and shallows.. and so forth. You've captured all that so skillfully , reminding the reader how it is to follow the Fine Path.
Things been a little hectic offline recently but hope to be here more often. God willing all is peaceful and smiling for and at Roger and of course, dear you. Take care, keep safe as safe can be. xx
