'Mourning Dove of peace and Love'
Patricia Wedel,
I see the mourning dove every so often. With their lovely peach breast and whistling flight they are unique. Their is a pair that are lovely. They wait together as they each carefully pick up a little seed. But are so cautious and often fly away after a very short time. Beautifully rendered poem of spring which you wrote too. I found myself identifying with the sentiments so pretty.
Bless you.

a soft and peaceful ode to spring Pat.... I love my mourning doves who come to sit on our deck; their coos could put me to sleep. The green and the buds and the flowering plums trees the nectar of the bees, all hasten in one of my favorite seasons. Love this!
Best. B.

"The low melancholy Song of the Dove

The flowering Plum trees are a Respite
for the Bees and Warblers to Sip
their sweet Nectar..."

Very beautiful Pat, we haven’t got that far yet here in Illinois but it should be better starting tomorrow with warmer weather

Today on Sunday I brushed off the Snow on the long Railing on our old deck outside the large Kitchen window and observed the Birds enjoy their Banquet of Seed. The flowering trees seemed to enjoy the "snow bath". By the way, your Avatar is charming and stirs our longing for Summer. gently, Pat

A Spring morning. Miss those. Sometimes, I wonder if such days are nothing but a dream.

We are on the cusp of spring, a most beautiful season and yet we find ourselves like the doves mourning. Mourning for those who live in terror, for those displaced and for the dead and wounded. Warmongers amongst us. Tyrants who only want more power. Sad days ahead Pat. You say it so poetically.

Roger has had medical procedures, but is doing well and of course with Spring bursting out, everyone seems more hopeful. I just bought a large bunch of "p***y willows" at Wegmans that were flown in from somewhere. I put them in a large Vase with multi-colored Hydrangea. It gives me a sense of Beauty and hope for the Future. Thanks for your encouraging words across the Pond. tenderly, Pat
