Light from a Distant Star

Light from a Distant Star

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

I see the Sunrise in your Eyes
where Blue Morning Glories sigh
The Light is from a Distant Star
that fell where Passions subside...
Eurasian Collared Doves Coo
in the Morning Sun...

I see the sunrise in your eyes is such a lovely poetic line dear Pat.
Such an abundance of line in that single line..
Really enjoyed the read here in Spain on a cold rainy day.

The coo of the dove one of my favorite sounds. Mix it with a light show and the night is magical especially if you have someone to share it with you.

You too. You are pat.
Short, sweet, and to the point. And yet... As bittersweet as a long lost love. Well crafted. Takes me to the idea of a last poem written after a break up.
