Billows of Snow Swept Dreams

Under the Cover of Night in Moonlight Dreams 

The Stars danced in Rendezvous of sweet delight... 

Billows of  bright diamonds fell to Earth covering 

the trees with Soft Snow where Cardinals Pray... 

Candles lit in Windows where Children slept as 

Kittens cuddled in Mittens of rainbow colors... 

We were snow-bound for a Day to contemplate 

the Wonders of soft Angel Wings where Miracles 

are scattered about for all the faithful devout 

who never doubt the Persuasion of Pure Love...

Such incredible imagery here! I could see the snow, how it wraps the world in white and makes you feel like you are living in a snow globe scene. I especially love the image of the red cardinal praying in the white snow. Such a striking contrast, and a lovely one! I miss snow, but not enough to venture north again.

dearest Zoe…your review is lovely and seems to blend with my poem. The first snowflakes were very large Lace-like and hundreds floated around and settled like Angels on the Branches of Evergreen Trees.

The cables wonder of a Christmas snow...
Never really enjoyed snow myself. Makes for better paintings and poems then for actual enjoyment. Still, wonderfully imagined visions here. I can see this as a Hallmark card.
Oh! This blasted phone! Refuses to type the word "fabled" in that first line! Anyway, a well written poem.

Thank you M.J. When you used the word “blasted” it reminds me of the Movie, “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” when Rex Harrison plays the Ghost of an Older Sea Captain who owned the Home previously!! Great Movie and one of my Favorites made many years ago. Hope you can call it up on You Tube, etc. This was a very unusual Snow that fell like Huge delicate Snow Flakes .. the likes of which I have never seen before. truly, Pat

dearest Andrew... thank you for your Kind review. Last Winter we barely had Snow... so when this unexpected Wind and Snow came through on Tuesday morning at six am.. it was awesome .. huge transparent snowflakes the likes I have never seen floated down constantly... within an hour we had two inches or so and then by Noon there was twelve inches. It was easy to be inspired.. when the boughs of very tall Fir trees by our home were heavily laden with Snow that looked like hundreds of Angels taking a Nap. Bright Red Cardinals were flitting around when the Sun Rose. It seems we live in a Bird Sanctuary.
When we moved here four years ago... I wrote a Poem.. "Prelude to Heaven". Be blessed and be safe and well to you and your family. truly, Pat

I'm reminded of a time as a child when I first made a snowball. It sparkled in the early morning sun as if it had chips of diamonds in it. And because I wore no gloves on my small hands it left them too numb to close my fingers. Snow is so beautiful to me because I rarely see and experience it. I hope someday I'll be able to touch it again and remember what that feeling was like as a child.

dear Carlos…. Snowballs with diamonds… that could be a Song… If you get a chance.. watch the Olde Movie with Cary Grant who is an Angel in “The Bishop’s Wife”. Made around 1932 or so… There is a scene where the Angel helps the Child throw the Snowball Far and away …. Thanks for your Review. Gently, Pat
