My dear Pat, I don't know how I missed this lovely Christmas poem, but so pleased I found it and so early in the new year that it is still OK to say a very happy new year to you and your loved ones. Your poems are always so uplifting my dear friend.

Roger has dialysis every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday normally. He is doing well with routine Maintenance on his Fistula. It is a Way of Life. Praise the Lord. through all the Seasons... I always wonder how Birds survive without a comfy home. I try to feed the Birds that stop by... they are so precious. Of course the Squirrels and Crows can be a pest, so I put out Peanuts in the Shell to divert their attention. I have to wait a few days in between feedings or the Birds would never go to other Feeders. Birds seem to be little Angels. gently, Pat

Squirrels are hilarious especially when they have eaten too much fermented fruit in the fall. I am a hummingbird lover. We will always have Christmas in every Country... as long as we have Colorful Birds to sing our Favorite Tunes of "Away in a Manger... no place for a Bed,, the little Lord Jesus laid down his Sweet Head, One of my favorite Christmas songs that is fairly New is: "Mary, did you Know". It encompasses so much to inspire everyone to be more than we can be. Amazing Grace.

I have a fake fireplace...and Santa got stuck coming down the chimney...poor guy.'
And then my cat kept trying to lick his beard.

I was picturing your "fake" fireplace and then I saw your Cat licking the Sugar cookies icing off Santa's face. We are blessed again this year to have a Squirrel in our "real" Fireplace. We had a serious Fire where we lived for 17 yrs in November of 2017 on a Sunday morning... an "electric fire" that quickly went through our one story Cottage and even tho' two Fire Companies came out it was hot black ashes by four pm. Now, in our two-story home built in 1988, we never use our Fireplace Ever-- as there are Tall Old Pines around the side where the Fireplace resides. I still write bout Fireside Chats and Rendevouz secrets; however Santa would not want to use our Chimney where Squirrels come and go. We are babysitting my daughter's wee Puppy Dog (4 yrs old) (orphan "Annie")... who is sleeping on Christmas Eve in our Sleigh Bed. I am Cruising our Poem site at two pm in a Big reclining Chair by the Sleigh Bed... way up high on the 2nd floor where Santa's Sleigh may just "drop some Toys. An exciting Story that is not Fiction. May your Dreams be a "Good Omen" for the New Year. gently, Pat
