A very colorful Halloween write; …lizard with fire- lit eyes….angels colliding with witches…how does that turn out! I vote for the angels all the time
Lovely holiday poem Pat… your words just flow together so well!

we did not have the usual Gremlins this year. I think parents are Wise to have private gatherings until these Pandemic threats have subsided. We had prepared special Bags of wrapped hard candy... but
will be nibbling on most of them... in the next year.
Hope your evening was quiet and free of Monsters and such. tenderly, Pat

The Feline Center had Ballet Theatre; however, we walked through the Meadow to the Theatre in the Woods... outdoors with wooden seats on a slant so everyone had a good view. We were in the first Row to see Hansel and Gretel performed by Actors with a Base Fiddle and Kettle drums to the side. When it came to where the Witch had Hansel and Gretel in a Cage and fed them to fatten them up to Cook for a Delicious Meal-- My daughter Edie Marie age three yrs-- stood up with her little purse and Ran out of the Woods as fast as her legs would go-- with me running behind (over the little Bridge) and up the Hill where our Car was parked. She has always been extra Careful on Halloween-- even with her own children. Pumpkins have seen a lot with their Eyes Aglow... truly, Pat

Well Halloween has arrived in the UK dear Pat. I just looked out of the sloping window in my roof. All is pitch black, no moon of any colour let alone green, but plenty of rain. Looks like a wet one. The witches and bats will all need raincoats. We have a carved pumpkin, we will be having pumpkin soup and we have plenty of treats for little callers. Thank you for your Halloweeny poetry. Have a good one :)

We did not have many "trick or treaters this year... most parents may have arranged Private Halloween Parties, since we still are trying to avoid too much "contact" with people-- as some are not wearing "Masks" even on Halloween. I had a supply of Ziplock Bags made up with a mixture of pre-wrapped peppermints and Carmels and Skittles... the usual routine; better to be prepared. We simply had Chicken Noodle Soup and enjoyed a pleasant weather Day. Now we can concentrate on Thanksgiving in November. Glad you liked my poem. I was lucky to find an Image on Google... usually the Images are Copyright and one must pay money for a "Print" to be mailed to you. There are Times when I have "The Luck of the Irish". My Mothers Mom 'Minnie" was a Bit Irish "herself". I love their "expressions". We may have seen a UFO in the Sky tonight. gently, Pat
Patricia, I think you've included the all of the obligatory characters in this well penned piece :))
Happy Halloween to ya :)

Love the imagery in this poem Pat. Excellent work. I'm reminded of walking the neighborhoods of my youth in costume for bags full of candy. I was so poor one year that my cousin dressed me up in one of her Sunday church dresses and put a wig borrowed from her mom on my head. The funny thing was no one could tell I was a little 9 year old boy. Everyone thought I was a 13 yr old girl, and I also got more candy than anyone else. I had such a soft high pitch voice then that even when I talked I myself couldn't tell I was a boy. I had even fooled my mom who upon seeing me wished she could have had a girl instead of three boys. Thank you for your nice homage to my favorite day of the year.

Well Pat, they do say the moon is made of cheese, so it stands to reason a bit of mould would appear. I mean, the use before date must have expired ages ago! 😊
