Pat, are you saying it was the boots and saddle that captured you..... but I would swear it was more his rope and lasso tricks that got your attention and captured your heart.... in any case that Chevy knew exactly where to take you on your cruise and to thse rodeos..... nicely penned romantic poetry Pat!!!!

This is definitely a departure for you & I love it! This is rowdy, boot-kickin' type poetry . . . whereas I'm used to soft & fluttery from you! (((HUGS)))

Dreams can be found anywhere, even in a Chevrolet. Whether you'll be just passing through or stopping by. He sure lassoed your heart.
I don't usually go for romantic poetry but I'm glad I stopped and didn't just pass on by.
The flow of this piece was beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful love story; falling in love with a cowboy... with boots and saddle, a rather quick tryst that turned very romantic! I love the last line.! Who would ever think? and you wrote it so well.

I actually married a Cowboy whom I met at Bronco Billy's Country dance hall. Turns out he was well educated and ready to slow dance. You never know where you might meet a kind and honorable man. We have been together for 45 years. We choose to be romantic and he loves that II write poems. Thanks for sharing your feelings.

I remember they had a lot of Chrome... and in the Winter when it snowed in Maryland.. my Dad would get out the Heavy Chains and "back the New Chevy onto the Chains. It took a lot of patience and skill, but to my Father it was an Art. Of course, you wore Galoshes over your Shoes and the most gorgeous Dapper Hat. Memories are replaced by Cell phones and Chats... Fireside it is then Pat! ;)
this reminds me of my dad and how he grew up during the time that we still had horse and buggies and automobiles were just getting started.

We do have a Horse and Buggy in Olde Town Fredericksburg, where we are taken on a Tour of the Civil War History. We adore to take our Grands on a Guided Tour with Ghost Stories and so forth. Of course the Vintage Cars were a Splash of Laughter during their day. We live across the Road from a Horse Farm where people occasionally Board a Horse and there is plenty of open fields to ride your Horse.
Thanks for reading and leaving your touch of nostalgia. gently, Pat

I cannot afford to break any Bones at my age. However, in my twenties.. I had friends who took me horse-back riding at Wheaton Park in Maryland. They were experienced Riders... and picked out a "calm older horse for my first Ride through a long Path in the Woods. They said, "not to worry.. they would only "trot" and my Horse would follow. Well, had way through the Ride Gin's Brother's Saddle fell off his Horse with him falling off also. His Horse took off in a Run and so did my Horse. It was an exciting Adventure and I had no Injuries... but I never rode a Horse again, except in my fifties a Uncle walked me down a path on a Quarter Horse on the family Farm in Delaware. I also ran in a Field with a Neighbor's Llamas. They had me running quite fast with Fury.... The neighbor also rained Emu... and I watched the Emu's drink milk from a female Goat.... I love being a Country Girl.
Have a Great Day... while I explore our dangerous World from a distance. gently, Pat

I love vintage cars as the one you show in your pic and also good poetry that values love, romance, things we hold dear, life, humanity and such... I'm hoping you did not get A TICKET after speeding to your destiny. Hehehe.
