Lasses Swing in the Apple Orchard ...  

An Adventure of Summer breezes and 

warm tender Kisses from the Lads...  

Sweetness and tart is combined in 

three-quarter time where passion 

lies in sunny Orchard overtures 

melting into the setting Sun...   

Blessed with silver and gold etching 

of a day well spent with friends and 

acquaintances... until  Summer sizzles 

and Lads ands Lasses head for the Creek 

where hanging boughs bring relief and 

laughter is heard over the Mountains and Valleys.

dear Fran... I am late to thank you for your enchanted reply... actually. I was once in a Peach Orchard, so I may change this poem to reflect the sweetness of the Peaches... and the tartness of love's kiss. I do appreciate your visits and hints of laughter.

dear John... will we ever be able to freely travel and visit... as we once did... before Covid and the Variant Delta. I would hope so... in the meantime we have poetry. I just wish our President and others would have controlled our Borders more thoroughly for controlling the Pandemic. What were they thinking.

dearest Jacob... you always bring a Smile...
It seems that when I venture outdoors these days...
I forget my "Off" for Bugs... and then I suffer from
"bumps" that itch and need Cortisone galore. In our youth, we never worried about the Bugs and they were off with their "kind" biting each other I imagine.
I will not be waiting for the "FDA" to approve a Creme for the aging Elderly trailblazers, They have their Agenda overflowing at the Moment. "At least we have Paris" as said in Casablanca. Keep the Spirit.
Bugs have a shorter Life than us humans. gently, Pat

Ha.. I do know Avon had Bath Oil that kept the Mosquitoes at Bay. Once my friend and I went to Virginia Beach years ago.. when we lived in Maryland. The Sun was so Hot I had Purple Sun Poisoning on the entire Calf’s of my Legs. Now I would burn like a Firecracker! You are young.. so enjoy your Youth. Plenty of time to Fantasize about being Older.. lol… Keep your Sparklers Lit.
