A poignant, kind of allegory of birds, bees sipping nectar to nourish those in need...as humans do to their families....they nourish their children and children's children .. ..take care of their bodies and souls with feelings of love...or sequestered in care facilities where they miss out on so much nature....we have to bring it to them. LOVELY!

The beautiful children and young people should not be destroyed by a foolish Regime. There are man many people who are Caring for our loved ones of all ages; however, the Elected Officials are spending our Tax Money shelter skelter. It will take many years to Recover. sincerely, Pat

Very true and so uplifting to know our God provides all of that through nature and its creatures which all have a purpose. Your poem will take volumes to explain for that is how precise it is and rich...

Dearest Pat, your have shared your family with us. You must be spending more time with them. Nothing better. We sat out in the garden of our local pub the other evening having a drink with our eldest grandson. Those hours were so precious, I will never forget them. He thanked me and my husband for raising him. For stepping in when it was needed. He said I will always be mom in his thoughts, not just Nan. I love my garden flowers but I also love my grandchildren who are my other flowers. Hugs and kisses are so special. Thank you for your poetry, sending love across the waves. Have a lovely summer.

It is mostly Bluejays and Robins that I remember to be affected. Very young Birds have been found with crusty eyes and Neurological problems… being disoriented. It was noticed as early as April and May of this year. They have no name for this… at this time. It has come as a great shock … we discovered a younger Mourning Dove laying on its back laying down on our Deck.. having passed. It was so strange. It had not been attacked by a Cat, etc. it was perfectly in tact… I put on surgical gloves and put it in a double Bag. I tried to infor the authorities to no avail. Let us pray that this does not escalate… very strange…?so far no mention on the Media. However, on my Apple I-phone they spoke of the above somewhat in detail and said it is a mystery, but some Bird experts think that there may be a Spray in these three States that was used to kill the Chicada this year.. but nothing Confirmed.. still a mystery. Of course the Fires in the West of USA are affecting the breathing and Survival of Birds… so Sad. Indeed, Pat x

All sorts of pesticides are used to aid crop growth. It has been proven time and time again that while it may bring about a higher yield it is a danger to wild life. How sad to find that little avian friend lifeless on your deck. It is indeed a tragic situation, and proof once again how harmful our species are :(
this is such a sweet poem Patricia. It reminds me of the time I visited my older brother in Los Angeles he had a balcony with lots of plants and a few chairs. He would sit out there with his friends drinking wine and watching the sun set. The images you paint with your words bring that memory back to me. Thank you.
