Sipping Nectar for Friends

Sipping Nectar for Friends

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

Sipping Nectar is an Art that enriches the Heart

as we fly from flower to flower to kiss the Dew...

pressing our feelings into the most needed folks...

So many sequestered in Gardens where they may

be overlooked as they pray each day for feathered friends...

Amen

A poignant, kind of allegory of birds, bees sipping nectar to nourish those in need...as humans do to their families....they nourish their children and children's children .. ..take care of their bodies and souls with feelings of love...or sequestered in care facilities where they miss out on so much nature....we have to bring it to them. LOVELY!
Yours, B.

Very true and so uplifting to know our God provides all of that through nature and its creatures which all have a purpose. Your poem will take volumes to explain for that is how precise it is and rich...

The perfect prayer, sweet lady! Without those bees our world would come to a halt: no harvests, not nuttin' worth dreaming about, Pat. Plus, give us the smiles and affection of luverly people, and we are rich as rich can be! Your finger is on our planet's pulse xx

Dearest Pat, your have shared your family with us. You must be spending more time with them. Nothing better. We sat out in the garden of our local pub the other evening having a drink with our eldest grandson. Those hours were so precious, I will never forget them. He thanked me and my husband for raising him. For stepping in when it was needed. He said I will always be mom in his thoughts, not just Nan. I love my garden flowers but I also love my grandchildren who are my other flowers. Hugs and kisses are so special. Thank you for your poetry, sending love across the waves. Have a lovely summer.

this is such a sweet poem Patricia. It reminds me of the time I visited my older brother in Los Angeles he had a balcony with lots of plants and a few chairs. He would sit out there with his friends drinking wine and watching the sun set. The images you paint with your words bring that memory back to me. Thank you.
