I like apple pie with ice cream but don't care for watermelon. I'm more of a cantaloupe guy. :)

The simple days were the best days dear Pat. I miss the days of family get-togethers. Very nice use of words my dear friend.

Dear Pat, your summer picnic sounds positively sumptuous. How delicious and to enjoy the treats with old friends. Watermelon so refreshing and apple pie. Who can resist a slice of home made apple pie? I think we would all like to join you for your picnic.

This is my second visit. I thought I had responded to this post a couple of days ago and can remember my thoughts, but my review must have got lost in the ether. Good to have a second read and this time I will make sure my response registers.

Sending love across the pond.

couldn't get enough dessert, still can't, just can't eat it quite as fast or as much of it.

Lovely imagery Pat and I can smell the sweetness in it; like old times picnics, in the hot summer breeze, a gathering of old folks enjoying the moment.
