Marquerite a gorgeous Hummer

July Fourth fireworks in colours bright spray the Sky ...

On the Western side of our Country in California 

there lives a quaint feathery Lady who sprays and 

bathes with the Mountain Hummers... 

She grows Artichokes and skinny dips them 

into a seductive dressing... 

Styled like a Wild Mountain Cat ... 

She prefers her Dogs who growl at the Moon... 

Wishing our Barley Girl Margie a Beautiful 

Fourth of July Birthday when she first 

made an appearance as the Sky burst into 

a Star Spangled Banner of the 

Land of the Free and the Brave...

dear Betty… Margie is missed… she is surviving with beautiful views on the side of the Mountain. She is fortunate not to have been affected by the fires except the air may not be quite as before. She said the moisture from the Ocean rises up early in the morning. She knows the area where she grew up. She grows lots of veggies and greens for salads. I try to be in touch with her. She is a very unique and gifted person .
I will tell her that you reviewed my poem for her. Hope you are safe and well. We live in Virginia and are surviving with both Vaccines …. praying for Miracles for our people young and older. tenderly, Pat

dear Betty.... I will keep your wish tucked away, but for now... It is best to let it be... Our world is so unsettled with this variant Delta (adding to the present Pandemic ) in the World. We all have "our "plates full" with family matters and business concerns. Best to just pray that
we will survive as best we can. My messages with "our friend" on my part are not that secure, so trust me... it is best for now. I do enjoy reading your reviews and poetry-- even on other poet's poems.

dearest Beauty…. Our Margie was a Vibrant professional Writer in an Office .. when she hurt her Back and decided to “heal” slowly in a Cabin where she grew up and hiked many a Trail. She is blessed with Nature and friends and her dear Puppy Pals. Our Ancestors lived on the Land and on the Mountains. In some ways Margie is even closer to people where Peace abides.
