Fragrant Kiss of a Peony

Fragrant Kiss of a Peony

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Kissing the Blarney Stone endows the kisser with the gift of gap.. beside Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland. Gap: (great eloquence or skill at flattery).

"
Soft and gentle... a kiss that lingers within unspoken moments

when two hearts fold their Petals into one life of fragrant embraces...

Small buds of new beginnings emerge when sunshine and rain lie in

irredescent passionate rendezvous beds of blessings betrothed...

Vows exchanged with Irish melodies of Heather in a meadow

where Bagpipes play among the lavender blue thistles..

We pray for Love to heal the broken hearted who faded into

Glory.  Amen

We have peonies in our garden that have been with us for thirty eight years. Such a delicate pale pink with numerous skirt petals. I love them. I also love Ireland and its people. I love the twinkle in the eye, the humour and Irish hours. That is without touching on their beautiful scenery. Love is so powerful, it can fix anything. Many a broken heart has been soothed and healed by love. Thank you for your bouquet dear Pat. Floral offerings always a favourite with me. Love across the waves.

Oh my dearest Pat, again PEONES too✨✨✨ exceptional my lovely friend, outstanding, because as I read your words I see a whole life written, a life that began when two hearts wed into one in a promise to go through all the trails of the road together until the end, then the sadness of loss and goodbye... never I read life as this expression you've bestowed with blissful grace unto us. Thank You a million Poenies🌸🌸🌸

Your words and images are lovely, feel like I can smell the flowers; but yea we must pray for those who have been taken; though love will always linger on. Just beautiful!

Amen, Pat! lovely setting and scene as always .. as fragrant and dazzling as bouquets can be... what i really like is the thought your poem gives me, of such a tight bloom as peonies holding, folding upon the lovers .. in such a protective embrace .. and of course .. the Irish .. gotta love the Irish :))))))))))))))))))))

This very scenic and gentle💜. My body and soul relaxes as I read this work. I don't know if you meant this, but when you mentioned petals and buds, it reminded me of how a flower bud looks slightly like lips ready to kiss.💙 This is a truly eloquent gem... Almost like a prayer. Thank you for creating this, precious one 💖.
