Blue Flamingo of Love

Blue Flamingo of Love

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

I stand alone on the shore of wonderment...

Will the Mourning Dove bring the Vaccine of

preventive Potion...

Many weary Souls wearing Masks and

breathing silently...

The Tide of Ever After that brings laughter and

peaceful composure will splash upon the shore

when Lavender Blue becomes my Reverie...

You wed clouded reality to such a peaceful beauty, dear Petal Pat, thank you so very much. Your words always rejuvenate my sometimes dreary spirit. Bless you, darlin'. Hugs from here to there, Plus, wishing you and Roger a smiling, safe weekend. xx

It’s hard to believe how much things have changed in a little over a year when looking back on it.
lovely composition of fear and hope, using your usual imagination and ethereal images to convey your thoughts. "Peaceful composure will splash upon the shore"....so colorful too! Thanks always Pat for sharing your poems "in reverie"..... Stay safe on those shores and be well

All hope lies in the vaccine. In the meantime the seasons come and go. The sun will still shine even though our hearts grieve for the ones lost. Your words are always so beautifully poetic dear Pat. I can see a glimmer of light.

weary indeed Pat. I especially like your closing three lines. The Everlasting Tide Splashing peaceful composure .. I look forward when that Lavender Blue is everyone's reverie .. very uplifting in contrast to the psycho-social and emotional depression the pandemic is also causing.
