Wonderful words for Margie who I would say is stuck out in the sticks and yet I know she adores where she resides with her furries and all the creatures who visit her. Lucky for me I live in the country, yet close enough to town if I really have to. Nothing like the morning sun rising above the trees to welcome in a new day. Margie will love your thoughtfulness and playful lines dear Pat. Have a wonderful day.

Yes dear Pat, I lived in NYC all my life and prayed for the little birds who battled so many challenges. My heart breaks for all creatures big and small that strive just to survive-without complaint, without question... You are truly the most spectacular Nature Poetess! Your sweet photos and elegant words refresh and touch my soul so deeply. You introduce me to birds I've never seen or heard of like the Red-breasted Nuthatcher. What a cute round birdie-belly he has-ha! Please remember to invite me to sip nectar with you and Margie-I'm in!

Do you speak of the Margie I know out in California? She too pens well and I love to read her prose. Of the birds and fauna and animals there, she knows. I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in admiring her works
Glad to join you, Pat.
Take care - Dave
I understand this to the depth, I live at the countryside when I can be one with nature (just like You) and always say my gratitude for that, I can't live where there is no trees or green... some people can, I just can not. no wonder when I read You I always feel that feeling of one with everything, a feeling of whole and complete peace, a sweet bliss... because You are nature and nature is You :) I'm sure Margie and her wild spirit would appreciate this wonderful offer dear lovely Pat✨

"I find Solace in the morning Sun...
as it streaks through the boughs of a new day." ... I think that is brilliant sort of personification .. as one's day is distinctly human ... thanks so much for sharing .. i can use a new day today ... the shout out to Margie is quite recognizable .. and the "and sweet nectar to drink... wink... wink." closing is so spot on ... love and peace girl!

Hello dear Pat. You know, I love the nature poetry. I hope you are doing well and staying safe.
And I live among Maples and Oaks...and I also think of my friends in the city...
and pray they can stay safe....
life is a bustle enough in the country nowadays....
but in the city? it can be scary.
sometimes I just want to be a bird...live in trees and fly away when I have a mind to.

You are too funny. I wonder if you are ribbing me becuz I slammed the birds for pecking away my garden veggies? I wouldn't mind fewer birds, but here you are, inviting the birds from town to come enjoy your country ambiance!??!! I love the part where you pray for city birds. Everyone in the city hates pigeons, I found out, after I posted a pigeon poem, trying to describe how beautiful they are swooping thru the trees in a natural habitat. Birds in the city get a bad name just becuz they gotta poop like the rest of us, I guess. I also love the part of your poem where you describe forests . . . no forests near me, just hills dotted with the occasional oak & ravines with sycamores clustered along the creek. I'm reading a book about hiking the Appalachian Trail & I love the parts where the walking is thru forests . . . descriptions of thickly wooded trails make me wish I could hike some! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

She fed the Pigeons and talked to them as her friends. She had given up on Society. However, She and “McCauley” became the best of friends and She came out of her Shell so to speak. I may revise my poem to be among the Sycamore trees. I adore the photo at the top of my poem dedicated to you. It truly is a red-breasted Nuthatcher. Wish I were so richly endowed. gently, Pat

I have a "thing" for orange animals. I've had a number of pets with beautifully orange fur over the years, so I'm a sucker for this bird in your picture! I love how the Pigeon Lady you describe is living a life similar to my own, even tho our sense of solitude among wildlife is played out in different habitats! There must be a way to turn that into a poem.
What a sweet tribute to Margie....with her "wink wink" in there too! You and she love nature and especially the birds. Margie loves her animal neighbors out there in the woods. Everyone enjoys something else and that makes life interesting. Lydi***
