Special words from you, Pat., as ever always. However, they seem to me to be a touch pensive, to remind us of a calm space from glorious and holy theatre, to the could be wild reel of midnight if bit at all enjoyable year past. You've hinted at the colourful perhaps as a reminder that that is what it should have been, rather than what it was. Perhaps i've misinterpreted in which case, will re. review and willingly...

Our neighbors have decorated with colorful lights that we see more of from our home windows and I seem to see them through stained glass windows where the light shines through. The Spirit of Christmas is still part of celebrating love and giving. I love your description of a glorious and holy theatre.
Being sequestered does not keep us from seeing the Star from afar. It is an honor to see your touch of Wonderment. May the New Year bring healing to our World . Tenderly, Pat x

Haven:t seen you for a while Pat, so I have returned to this poem for a second read. Snow covered branches we have ourselves today. A beautiful show of white this morning. Not likely to last though. Always a delight to read you. Hope all is well.

Beautiful words Pat and lines to remind us to count our blessings for the good things we still have in life, even though we have to face up to unwelcome challenges. Nat King Cole such a favourite of my parents, you transported me. Not only back in time but also to share the joy of your garden and avian friends in winter. Happy New Year dear friend. Beautiful poetry to feather my soul.

Christmas this year. My Mother passed away in 1978.. at Christmas time. She was as beautiful and giving as Christmas can be.
She loved Flowers and Birds as I do also.
May the New Year be a year of healing and mending our Political innuendos ... shall we say... It would be lovely to work together to improve our Country and our Values. Our Constitution and Amendments and other documents have served us well. The Spirit of America can be a Light unto the World .. truly, Pat

What exquisitely poetic lines you write dear Pat! They absolutely glow on the page. Yes, you remember those innocent Christmases-past for us in your unique contemplative way. Beautiful evocative imagery and love the holiday musical references. Wishing, hoping, praying for better days in 2021...
P.S. LOVE Chickadees!:))))
