' On a rainy Sunday morning... a yellow Warbler landed on ~ a stem of a Dahlia... an end of summer gift to behold. ' ..
seems as if all the seconds and phrases that came before those two lines were just holding their breath for the arrival of that oh so visual Yellow warbler and dahlia.. sigh. Beautiful, dear petal Pat.. xx

vivid words to show the ends of summer and the beginning of Autumn; everything changes, birds' behaviors, leaves turning luscious colors, the wind blows in and the rains pour down; but even the changes are lovely to behold; I can see those creatures of nature so clearly. Love this! Your, Betty
The title's sweet aroma pulled me in. Is there anything better than Autumn's kiss? Your images are always a treasure to discover. As always your words are a delight.

winter is coming.. and it's always a sweet-nice way to say goodbyes to old seasons & have 'em captured like this in... 'Roses with scents of Sage and Romance'.. the choice of words speak a lot itself...
nature is always peaceful when we find time to listen to it, and good part of being a writer is - a writer never let (s) this moment go w/o havin' it written & saved 'pon real time...
How visual your word paintings are Pat. So beautiful and delicate. I have returned home after a weeks holiday. The dahlias in my garden were gloriously magnificent before I went. Their heads looking proudly up to the heavens. Sadly however, the heavy rainfall of autumn, has given them a bit of a battering. They need much tender loving care. Have a, wonderful week dear Pat. All good wishes winging their way to you.

Sorry about your Dahlia's sad state upon your return. They are hardy, but susceptible to wind and rain... leaving a sad refrain. Our weather has become balmy once again... however, Winter will find a way to freeze our toes. Welcome home where tender loving care may pamper your Dahlias for some time. Thanks for the wishes... crossing the Pond.
Sending my wishes for you by a pure white Dove with love. tenderly, Pat

Your poem is a graceful depiction for all the senses to show how I'm often clinging to summer while I'm also pining for autumn (like right now . . . every day still up to 100*!) I think I want the coolness of autumn, but I don't want to surrender the vigorous gardening of summer. Your poem is dancing on that precipice like I've been doing for weeks! I think it's going to be a dry mild winter, so they say, & by now I'm counting on it! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

We have been indulging in organic Strawberries grown
in California. They surely are flown to the East Coast on a Jetliner... to be so fresh and delicious. I thought of you and your Garden. We put them in homemade Pancakes... yummy ! Our Strawberries in Virginia are ripe the first of June and only last for two weeks.
I have a gorgeous Mango that is light green and part is a bright orange/red... but it will be delicious when ripe. Wegmans grocery has a lot of organic fruit flown in from Mexico and California. They have their own Bakery with lemon pastries and Cinnamon Yeast
sugar donuts. Now I am making you hungry. I apologize for that. It will be wonderful if you have a dry mild winter. Love and prayers... Pat

Your Pups must be a source of comfort indeed. My grandson is a Senior this year doing his schooling in the Compute. He works part-time at Chick Filet where he is Smitten with a girl his age. They are an “Item” now.
She has very long soft bright blond Hair.
He took her to the Mall and they went to “Build a Bear”. He dressed a Bear for her to look like “Repunzel” with very long blond hair. A sweet story and true as related by my daughter. They live a hundred miles away in Virginia Beach. Virginia. Have a
delicious day and stay warm and cozy...

Now I'll be going around all day like I've got a million dollars in my pocket! *wink! wink!* By the way my little lettuces are finally growing again. The rounded leaves popping up are bigger & hide the jagged edges of bird pecking (which gives me angst to see!) The birds are now pecking the living daylights out of my broccoli now, but I've got a ton of broccoli, so they can have some. Much bigger leaves! (((HUGS)))
Very colorful and interesting images in this one. A very nice way to greet the change of seasons, much more palatable than the reminders that we are all getting older.

it is a state of mind. It takes a full life well lived to feel the art of romance and the dance. gently, Pat
"The dance of an English Rose with thorns" I got lost in the imagery of this line.
The rest of the poem got me deeper. Beautiful poetry. Poems that are poetic have a musical voice when reading all its own. This poem has that voice. I enjoyed reading this, tyfs.

You're most welcome, dear
This is a perfect gem of a poem. Delicate, fragrant, images of English gardens at the turn of the season. Such radiant elements of imagery- all colors, scents- just bursting with life. Love how you are always so attuned to nature and her lovely children. Great wordplay too, in your lovely garden, Pat. Thank you so much for this beautiful morning gift!
