Dazzle

In a wisp of autumn leaves 

You dazzle me with your Charisma  

as yellow Freesia petals float about 

my mellow broken heart of memories 

I listen to the sound of your breathing 

wondering what you are dreaming... 

Your eyes of Larkspur lavender blue 

have enticed me to believe in love 

high in the Sky where clouds wait for 

the day when we fly away where 

waterfalls will play where lovers 

come to say their vows by a pond 

of waterlillies in colors of delicate 

emotions wrapped in beauty ... 

sealed with a kiss of destiny ...

It's 6 am here, still dark, kinda chilly & damp so the old body groans . . . I crawled over to this computer looking for some DAZZLE!!! And of course I would find it, coming from YOU! *wink! wink*! It's been a very long time since a romantic romp made me dazzle like your poem does, dazzling in the promise of romantic love . . . for some of us, the "you" in your poem represents a real live warm body, but for others, it could be God, or Mother Earth, or the spark of inner joy that comes from living a soulful existence. After yelling at the birds for a week, I moved all my romaine plants to my covered back deck (painful trudging task, moving heavy pots) . . . the sun has gotten so low, it shines in underneath the deck cover, but the cover keeps the birds from noticing my lettuce as they sit in the trees above it! I think this will work . . . plus later, it will protect lettuce from the occasional light frosts & I can grow most of the winter! Thank you for brightening my morning by reaching out!
