October Octave Sunsets Pumpkin Pink and OrangeA Poem by Patricia WedelScarecrows beside a split-rail fence... looking for goblins and suchAs the Autumn Sun becomes bright and evening breezes sing I hear the music of the Angels who guard our every move... Cedar Waxwings are sitting in the Crabapple trees munching on the berries as they wait for the weathering storms... Seed Seekers visit the feeder as they chirp and chatter with tales of Wood Meadow Sage... Bluejays plump from Summer's berries on bittersweet vines visit our porch and deck feeder for a quick snack and then off to discover the other gourmet locations to keep in mind when grey clouds and snow descend from the North... Tufted Titmice need a safe place to land as they wait for their turn to feed where a Peck at a time will suffice when Winter brings Ice and Snow on frozen ponds where children skate to the song of the Whippoorwill and the sounds of the Downy Woodpecker...
