whisper delight and beauty to me soul Pat! my imagination sparks with Bumble Bees in a snow storm! ;) the title sings .. i have said it over in my nog more than several times ... a delight just to say it "Chickadees and Piano Keys" :))))))))) one of my sons is an artist and he told me a trick they use many times .. just a small dab of red that sublimely treats the eye without the observer even knowing it .. it can be any bright, contrasting color .. but you have painted with the red berry in this one .. a perfect poem if ever there can be .. absolutely would change nothing .. love it!

I suspected you might be back to offer up more of your lively poetic ponderings! I leave my doors & windows open (no screens) all summer, night & day. The past week with smoky conditions, birds have been flying indoors more than usual. I don't have a piano (what I love about your title & your message!) but I do wonder what these birds might think about my inside habitat? I was thinking about writing a poem on this topic, but you've beat me to it! *wink! wink!* (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I believe they realize who leaves seed and tidbits for them. My Mother raised Parakeets and the Nesting Box was in my Bedroom on a lower shelf beside my Bed. So I got to hear the parents Chirp and one of them had learned to say words in English. Wouldn’t it be “Cool” to teach Parakeets to speak French or Spanish... I am certain they would have better luck at learning... than I would encounter. Love 💕 and 🎶... Pat

Actually, I have never seen bees in a snowstorm, but I like the image anyway. This is a light, pleasant piece with several images that are pleasant to the eye and ear. A nice change of pace from the national news.

Only once when we lived closer to the Rappahannock River... did I see about ten Chickadees in our young Cherry tree that had Pink blossoms for the first time since planted five years before that day. They are stunningly beautiful like black and white Keys on a Piano. Their Chirps are so musical, especially in a Snow Storm... dancing when perched upon a tree with red berries and thee. softly, Pat

The poem is lovely and the pic is adorable. I like how you describe them wearing black caps on their head(two birds). Then the image of a piano with freedom to see the outside. You are very romantic and natural.

Wow! Thank you so much. You are welcome dear poet.
I was plink plink plinking along on kitchen worktop backing keyboard Pat,
I imagine an internal soundtrack of the mission impossible theme tune every time I see a swuirrel through my kitchen window, doing his or her swuirrely gymnastics, so can very much relate to your piano accompiniment.
And all that in a snowstorm too! Sometimes that kitchen window is better than the tv 😀
