The Test of Time

The Test of Time

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

where hearts are monitored and love lingers...

"
When Butterflies gather around the Hollyhocks

my thoughts are whispers of forget me nots...

Tests are studied and all is ready for invasion

when doctors have the skill to delicately search

and find that all is clear for smooth sailing...

The seagulls sing with renewed acapella sounds

where Eagles soar over treetops and Nest where

hope and love will always bloom when the

Sun rises in shades of Lavender blue...
dedicated to my Mate Roger who always

knows that faith, hope and charity will prevail...

Amen...

Dear Pat I think I will forever remember the shadow cast by your angel's wing. What a lovely thought for dark days, and there are many for people throughout our world who find themselves with a positive covid result. Scary times but contrasted so well dear poet with your hollyhocks, forget me nots and butterflies. I note this is written for your dear Roger. I am sure he knows what a lucky guy he is.

a lovely tribute...softly sighing with nature's sounds and visions to expose a heart so much in love with another.

What a beautiful loving heart you have Patricia! That is what will get us thru this all and much much more:) I always say the true measurement of a life well spent is how many hearts we have touched when our spin ends and not how much money or power we had. The only way I could cast my eyes upon the divine without shame is to have a full measurement of that:)

A beautiful dedication; I love your flowing words of nature that intertwine and know the we will all eventually get through hard times, as long as the birds keep chirping and the butterflies keep dancing. There is still hope and you write about it so well. Peace, Betty

Warm regards Pat
Pat, your poetry transports us to the era of the romantics. We're so grateful you can deliver poems like this one with your genuine art, humility and sincerity. Your poem also speaks to the faith we must have not only in God but each other, trusting that bond will not only bloom but endure during the most challenging seasons of life. A lovely tribute to your Roger, and your marriage.

You're welcome, Pat. Best wishes for a good week.
I hope everything went well for Roger on Friday & onwards. It seems especially threatening to have a throat/lung issue during a time when covid could strike & make everything so much worse. Your poem presents the positive-filled loveliness of nature that cannot be denied. To me, such natural positivity serves as a bulwark against the extreme worry one could slip into at a time like this! You are so smart to write this with a focus on how much there is to live for!
