Such a contrast here dear Pat between the imagery of pure white, billowing clouds journeying through the sky., forming mountains and continents and the sensual thoughts of Arabian nights. Reminded me a book I read many moons ago and the richness and colour of the latter as well as the sensual and exotic oils and spices that spring to mind. You certainly know how to make a poetic mind wander. Wishing you a happy Thursday my friend.

Now that we find it difficult to navigate in our cities and countries... we seem to view the Sky to look for a change of Venue and to reminisce about the pleasures of the past. May you have a peaceful day as you pray. tenderly, Pat

Thank you dear Pat and may you have a peaceful day too. Warmest wishes from across the pond :)
A love that always has been and always will be, as consistent as the weather (there will always be weather after all and clouds and thunder). "Feathered rendevouz of love", it brings us up among the clouds and thunder and lightning. Let us both have a thousand more tender sighs.
Read your profile, "a man of letters" means something decidedly different in Latin. "Homo tres literorum" refers to a thief. But perhaps he stole your heart.
wonderful analogy - so light and delightfully fluffy. this certainly ushers in feelings. you took me away floating. ending really opens up possibilities just like romance. very enjoyable piece of verse, as well it should. you write really well with deep, beautiful feeling ... :)

Pat, this is such a rich and exotic romp through space, yet.. has true dreamy sentiments.. Your poetry always sends me off and away into the kind of world which means more than clatter, rock and roll. Alongside you the adventures are played to gentle music.. Thank you dear oetal.. ..

This one really hits home with me. Living in Cali all my life (where there are not many clouds, even in winter!) most of my romantic venturings included a total fascination with WEATHER (mainly in the form of clouds). Taking romantic forays here & there, the weather & the sky & the very clouds themselves were woven into my visceral response to each memory. I have seen so little rain, so little thunder & lightning, these aspects dominate the way I remember places I've gone on my various adventures. I love the way the romantic & sensual flashbacks are interspersed with lines depicting weather, as if it's all connected, which it is! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

and now he has two young daughters and is a fantastic father. I love writing poetry 'cus you can imagine how it should evolve with thunder and lightening and flowers exploding like the Fourth of July. Now in the arms of passion in the Summer meadows... I enjoy the breeze when billows of clouds provide deep abiding love where raindrops tickle my fancy and kisses lie in waiting. gently, Pat

I am among huge Sycamores here on my bluff . . . I look out over a ravine with a creek at the bottom where the Sycamores grow up above the dark dense live oaks, stretching white arms up & up, waving in the afternoon sea breeze to give us relief from the blistering afternoons. The sycamores are so huge, you wouldn't think they'd bend as much as they do in the wind, these huge lumbering limbs of startling white among the fluttering green hands. Thank you for sparking that reverie on another morning in paradise! (((HUGS)))

Currently, our billowing clouds are less appealing with rebellious raindrops recklessly ranging cross turmoiled treetops but if they transport us to soft Arabia nights we will contact 'Rent a Camel' and quickly depart on a lightning strike.
I believe there is an unlimited mileage special on at present!
A wonderful adventure Pat
