I adore Robins. We have them nesting in our garden at the moment Pat. So busy collecting juicy grubs to feed their young. Their nest is hidden in the ivy trailing over a boundary fence. I enjoyed your lines so much. Beautiful imagery, particularly of those pastry pieces being left for the robins by thoughtful mom after her baking was complete. Plenty of nostalgia in this write. I thought of my own Nan and her love of birds. I just love the joy that these little creatures share with us. These little creatures can lift your spirits on a dull day. I can picture your Robins dancing to Brahms. What a delight that is. Sending you and yours warm greetings from across the pond Pat. In these days of lockdown we are spending most of our time in our garden. Thank goodness for nature.

Yes, we go out of our way to make them comfortable. I love them more as each years goes by... they are friends from my childhood... the first bird I remember as I walked to school in the Springtime. Trust you are safe and well! fondly, Pat
I'm sitting up now listening to the first birds of dawn twittering and chirping their songs. What would love or life be worth if we couldn't dance for pure joy once in awhile? Loved the write. F.

I am blessed to watch so many birds up close as they eat the seed on the ledge on the Deck when I observe them from a large kitchen Window. The Morning Doves are gentle and trusting and the Cardinal are very cautious. The blue jays are teenage rascals... and so it goes. Chickadees are very theatrical and the Wise Owl thinks he is Shakespeare reincarnated. What a Hoot. Enjoy the Spring and all the Birds. truly, Pat

Carefree and hopping on a newly mowed lawn....who wouldn't be dancing? Such a lovely scene you describe here. Doing a mating dance with you as their audience. Sweet! Lydi**

They never go to the Deck in the back of our home. Google says they prefer being on the ground and advise people to put platform feeders in the ground for them. The Robins like worms and berries that have fallen to the ground. There really are European Robins which are in the Photo at the Top of my poem. There are Hungarian Robins. Thanks for your endearing review. Your friend, Pat
Fun, nostalgic and informative. Beautifully said with lively descriptions. How inspired we can from nature and how grateful for the Divine and creature. It takes two to tango and it takes willingness to make it go.
Enjoy spring and such...

this is so sweet, and yes, Robins are tough...first to come out to let us know spring is coming, sometimes it's still February and we see them brave the cold. Nothing like a little Brahms to warm the winged soul.

I bought a large 2020 Calendar in January with a Hungarian Robinon the front. So of course it is natural for me to be a bit crazy. We do have Robins that walk all over our large front Lawn.
I read that Robins tend to eat on the ground, and it is best to put a feeding platform on the ground for for them. A Robin is the first Bird I remember when I was five or before. They are definitely a part of my family tree. Yes, I love Hungarian Music; I am a Gypsy at heart. Thanks for a charming review. truly, Pat
Hungarian Robins have found their way across the
Ocean from Budapest... to be our Guest...
They love to dance Johannes Brahms Dance No. 5.
We can just imagine the sound of Violins.
Life is like a River that includes the sound of Warblers among the trees laden with happiness and tears... Wings take us to places we discover and people who write the Music we love to hear... quietly.. more..
