Blue feathered Owl of Spiritual Healing

Blue feathered Owl of Spiritual Healing

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Blue owls have an intuitive sensibility

"
Your eyes have the Spirit of knowingness when

the world is entangled in breaths of uncertainty...

Our Spirit needs your protection and intuitive wisdom

when darkness ascends and we are sequestered...

Your beautiful tenderness embodies the love and

protection you can provide as we wear our masks

when the world is surviving an uncertain future...

Our Blue feathered Owl whose kindness we need...

Stay with us through this pandemic until the

Great Spirit answers our prayers ... Amen

A beautiful prayer full of hope Pat. We certainly need that and kindness at the moment to help us shake off some of our fear. I hope your blue feathered owl stays close beside you throughout this ordeal. Are those your lovely grandchildren in the pic? Keep safe my dear friend.

Beautiful photo and amazing poetry. I enjoyed how you described the Blue owls. If we listen to the animal world. We would be wiser. Thank you dear Pat for sharing the amazing poetry.

Nature, blessings for us who can see dear Pat.
You have an uncommon gift, Pat. Your vision is boundless, your metaphors quintessential. I read through your postings with eagerness. You touch the soul of nature's bounty of flora and fauna with genuine humility and awe. It is refreshing to feel the shadings of Native American lore in your words. I too love to feel the syncopated melody in the night air and the day's writhing intricacies. You touch a responsive chord with me. There is a Native American themed piece among my scribblings of similar mood and insight. I will find and share it here. -- Doug

A sincere and touching prayer Patricia Wedel that we all need in these calamitous times to survive and make it through day to day. Hopefully things will open back up and we all go back to our normal lives. You are right for we need many forms of healing.

I'm sorry for those people who are not thriving under social distancing (the cries are constant on FB), but your poem reminds us there are many ways to partake of life, many living creatures to enjoy, beyond the human connections which are mostly banned or done distantly for now. When I moved here 10 yrs ago, I felt distanced in a tough way, but then I started looking around at all the abundance out here & I realized there's no end to what we can discover in wildness. Your poem is one of many ways we can tap into the wild intelligence "out there"! Love the spirit of your message! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

When thinking of a healing bird, a pure white dove usually comes to my mind, but here the poet features a blue feathered owl. The loving and protective qualities are the same, and the poem comes across as a prayer. Perhaps the image is part of the lore of some indigenous group.
