White-crowned Sparrow of Fortitude

Flying together for the common good...

When ill winds blow around Spring songs 

we fly to others with notes on winged prayers... 

clear whistles, sliding downward in a melancholy 

phrase as "I'm tired" or "oh dear me" adding 

a trill at the end of a difficult day.  

Birds symbolizing joy and protection 

a simplicity of community

very Brave and unafraid... 

we face a spirit of working together 

for the common good...

But the birds give thanks for the dawn every morning while mankind curses the alarm clock. Perhaps man could take a few lessons from his feathered neighbors eh? Lovely write, my friend.

A very appropriate reference here, dear Patricia.....in times of crisis we should look to our avian friends and nature for lessons on how to work together and pull through. "Sparrow of Fortitude" is an apt description; small, vulnerable yet swift and clever. In these times we need to all become sparrows of fortitude. I adored the avian theme here. Much enjoyed! :))
