We viewed a Cathedral by the Sea 

on St. Patricks Day... where Hummingbirds play... 

a musical Harp with sweetest sounds of lovely 

romantic Irish lullabies where clouds hold 

promises of plenty and more to come... 

Our hearts rejoice and join the chorus

reading lifts me old Irish heart, Pat! sometimes simply stated creates large pictures and emotions .. Ireland calls home for so many of the Irish diaspora ... me being one of them ... three generations removed ... its going to be very strange without the parades ... but health is important ... no use taking chances .. me oldest daughter called and reminded me to buy some Guinness Dark and a bottle of Jamison ... i think i will do just that and she and I can drink a toast by phone and picture ;) top o' the mahrnin' to ya lass!

Now then let me tell ya this. I worked with the Irish navvies late 70's early 80's and paddy's day meant only one thing for sure, and that was they'd all disappear early and then not reappear until a week or so later, still in the same clothes, still stinking of Guinness and battle scarred. We would then be regaled with tall tales of what had and might have happened. The craic was great, some of my best working memories :))

They adopted me as an honorary after I survived having a dumper truck run over the top of me.

Funny now, but it ran up my right leg, across my chest then slid off my right cheek. Had no breakage as I was a big galoot back then but had 18 months physio, my pelvis is pushed out of line and my left hand gives me grief where it was damaged by me trying to push the tyre away from my head :)) Not something to be recommended

This is beautiful pat .. my dads family come from Ireland
and my great grandmother.. my own grandfathers family too .. he used to sing Irish lullabies when he came home from work and pub .. thanks for the reminiscence.

I wanted to be where these words emanated from! Your heart is a sweet receiver and giver of joyous lilting joy. Just for that I join in this worship. God give us listening ears to hear these times, these seasons which stir our deep inner places to recognize any and all reasons to find praise. Saint Patrick was a great model and He strove for a Holy life and gave his away just as our Savior would want.

dearest Chris.. so lovely to hear your voice as The Rose of Sharon plays in my mind. I miss the shows from past years of Celtic Thunder and Celtic Woman.
Roger and I watched The Quiet Man in the evening of St. Patricks Day. The scenes of Ireland are easy on our heart and mind. I think songs like Galway Bay.
Lovely that you have visited North and South Ireland.

Thank you Christine... my Son Robert in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, experienced an Earthquake with a hundred mile radius Wednesday morning about nine am west coast time. There were several or more after shocks ranging up to 5.3. Fortunately no injuries or deaths or serious danger.. as far as we know.... Life is mysterious on many levels.
