Ireland home of Worship

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Prayers are rendered with heavenly Heather...

"
High on a Hill of laughter and love...

We viewed a Cathedral by the Sea

on St. Patricks Day... where Hummingbirds play...

a musical Harp with sweetest sounds of lovely

romantic Irish lullabies where clouds hold

promises of plenty and more to come...

Our hearts rejoice and join the chorus

reading lifts me old Irish heart, Pat! sometimes simply stated creates large pictures and emotions .. Ireland calls home for so many of the Irish diaspora ... me being one of them ... three generations removed ... its going to be very strange without the parades ... but health is important ... no use taking chances .. me oldest daughter called and reminded me to buy some Guinness Dark and a bottle of Jamison ... i think i will do just that and she and I can drink a toast by phone and picture ;) top o' the mahrnin' to ya lass!
E.

Beautiful dear Pat. A long time ago I visit Ireland. I wish I had more time. Nicest people I have ever met. Could drink. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

what is it in our Irish hearts that make us resonate so with the Trad folk music? I have many friends that aren't Irish and they all look at me with disdain when I play one unless its of course saint Patricks day LOL

A wonderful poetic relief to the madness surrounding us. Even in our darkest hour, remembering St. Patrick's Day and the rich Irish heritage and culture would put a smile on even the grumpiest face. I am not Irish but perhaps I wanna be :-) Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem!

I always find warmth and peace in your poetry. This is no exception. I find magic in your words here. They transport us to that place.

I have Irish blood, and I've been exploring more of Ireland, especially its poets like Seamus Heaney. I truly enjoyed this one, Pat.

A most simple and elegant piece that guides the reader rather than preaching, well done, good read.
