A Blush of Beauty

A Blush of Beauty

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

On the cusp of Love... petals softly falling

Dreams of waterfalls cascading over

Mountain Laurel where Bluebirds fly in

syncopated symphonies of persuasion...

Cupids shoot arrows into hearts that dare

to dream of lying in a field of passionate

Starburst Lillies surrounded by the scent of

Lavender and Myrrh...

That my dear, is a very warm combination of music and extraordinary seductive phrasing! You've hidden it in the heart of the sweet and gentle, the rise and fall of tidal sweetness. Lovely!

I had forgotten about February being Valentine's month becuz I'm not much of a romantic, except where nature is concerned! I love this poem becuz it quenches my thirst for romance, the way I've come to crave it, not so much as a focused human expectation (why didn't he send me flowers?) as much as being romanced by all different kinds of people we interact with along the way, as well as the birds, bees, critters, trees, rocks, streams, crawdads, & clouds. Damn, I'm going to be walking around all day with my head in the clouds again! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Forgot to mention, killer line:
