you're so welcome
o h..yes I know..the snow must come..
Birds might be one of God's most romantic species. I love how you show us that . . . showing the beauty of naturalness, not complicating with anthromorphism . . . in fact, this might be what I love most about your nature poetry. You show a bird romance, not the human's stale romantic gyrations as a bad version being acted out by nature's creatures! Your poems always make me feel like I'm actually experiencing nature (which I prefer to humans! *wink! wink!*) Fondly, Margie

Dear Pat, whenever I call on your page I know I will be in for a treat. You so love the birds in your garden. It was, a delight to learn of the Cedar Waxwings and how they will soon be romancing and multiplying in number. Your observational skills are so sharp and I for one find your lines such a pleasure to read. All good things and a belated happy new year.

I think you must speak fluent bird and also that you have some of the most observant eyes I have ever known. there is a stretch of trail that follows the allegheny river here, that in the springtime is awash with bird life they let the brambles grow wild and the plantlife fosters so much habitat for them it's like a bird frenzy down there! I have seen eagles and kestrels and cardinals myriad finches geese and ducks I would love to know what they all told you as you traipsed the trial:) one day I will record a video for you and send it I'm quite sure you would enjoy:)

I did google kestrels and was fascinated by their lovely colors and how they manage to survive. I have some pressing matters to attend to this coming week, but I do want to get back with you on your review. Thank you so much for entertaining me with your own visits along the Allegheny River. Birds are remarkable and their colors simply are breath- taking. I appreciate your kind comments and feel very honored. dearly, Pat

Hello and good morning, dear Pat. This seems a strange thing to say before saying more.. (wot!) but i always leave your corner feeling happier than when i arrived! Your love for the natural world is so real, so so respectful that i want to go lie down with the sodden leaves outdoor and look for worms!
That said, your poem is lovely! ' .. An airey song of love Eternal... ' that quaint little phrase says it all.. makes me smile. Thank you so very much. x

The return of Spring and those romantic overtures of the avian kind..... its an annual ritual and one that always has the promise of new life and the impressive splashes of colour they eventually produce.
I am always impressed by your knowledge of all the different bird breeds, Pat, and the way you describe their joyful lives simply and with eloquence. Cedar waxwings....that is something for me to google.
Another lovely write, Pat.
