Ocean Waves of Lost Love

Should Order 88 be the decree, 

Recalling thee, my fear by love is met. 

Such is the pow'r that thou hast over me, 

Thy kindness doth my troubled mind offset.  

Love shines throughout the stars with mighty ray, 

Love lands, with eagle's claws, upon the heart, 

Love, like a blaster shot, doth fire convey, 

Love is a sculpted, finely crafted art. 

To fond Jakku we'll go, with desert sheen, 

No more shall we by enemies be press'd.  

We are join'd fast no one can come between, 

Our bond would fly in any pilot's test.  

No vast StarKillerBase shall I e'er fear, 

E'er unto thee my spirit shall adhere.

i like the old time feel of this poem...reads like one of the classics...has that tone, the perfect rhyme scheme including in-line rhyming..
and the old English...."e'er i shan't fail the pilot's test if i ever found a co-pilot who would write something like this to me.

Not having been in a close relationship for a couple decades, I rarely miss it, since so often the chaos outweighed any bliss I ever got from connecting with others intimately. But your poem made me miss one thing that happens when two people get that close . . . the way one stands up for the other in all things . . . having an advocate, someone to help fight the onslaught of life, but also, someone to help us see when we need to bare our eagle claws. Convent-school held that young girls should be fully aware of the Bard's sonnets. At the time we didn't understand BUT age/time's helped!
