Rosebud resting on lost moments

Rosebud resting on lost moments

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Loving to be near the Earth where shadows dance...

"
In the early morning dew when daylight peeks around a rosebud

and birds begin to chirp and fluff their feather pillows...

I curl up in my window seat and watch the willows

as they sway and yawn upon the prospect of a new day...

My friend the Palm Warbler appears upon a branch

wearing a Chestnut Cap on the very top of its head...

bopping its tail up and down like a trapeze artist

prepared to fly through the air with an attitude...

The buzzing bees are on a mission of sweet revenge

while the Queen Bee is fulfilling a honeycomb order...

The squirrels are gathering acorns for winter as

leaves are turning their colors persimmon and gold...

We kneel to welcome the season of autumn atonement

You dear Pat are a true lover of the natural environment. You live in perfect alignment with our animal and bird friends, appreciating them for all the joy they give. You had me beside you in your window seat, admiring and taking in the wonderful view of the changing season. Your poetry is like a gentle embrace.

I just love autumn. The smells, the colors, the cool crisp air. Plus it shows there is beauty in death.

Really wonderful writing.

You are a naturally gifted poet. Your eyes see the beauty without and within. Beautiful descriptions of nature and some inhabitants. A joyful ride indeed in your train of thought.

Overall, I love your lively poem, but I must mention some best-crafted lines: "sun peeks around a rosebud" . . . "birds fluff their feather pillows" . . . "fly thru the air with attitude" . . . & my fave: "Queen Bee fulfills a honeycomb order"!!! So imaginative!!! I would wager to say you might be giving me a run for my money, as far as depicting a raucous celebratory scene among the critters! *wink! wink!* Don't worry, my acorn revivalists will be back to haunt you! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Oh! I got that feeling.
Seeing many things through the nature and getting to understand the beauty of finding ourselves within its circumference.

Well penned, Patricia.
