A Robot named CharlieA Poem by Patricia WedelMechanical feet and arms that lift on a prayer...We sleep in a tree house high up on the second floor Crepe Myrtle blooms just outside the window... A Cathedral ceiling holds our prayers... We have a Chairlift named Charlie that carries us up from the first floor where we hustle and bustle our day away. However when the dusk of evening shadows play, we rely on Charlie to lift us up to rest and nurse our blues away... when age has taken hold and our muscles give away to arthritis in our knee. Believe me... our friend Charlie Chairlift saves the day.
