Such a patriotic write, Pat! Yes, July 4th makes us remember how hard our forefathers fought for freedom. We sure could use a lot more patriotism right about now in our country! Well written, Pat. Lydi**

Every day I feel guidance to be more aware of compassion to bring people to realize that we can make a difference.... if we compromise to prepare for a safe and peaceful world for our children and their children. I feel the "Tug" and hope others do also. Thoughts and prayers are very powerful. We may not understand that Power that brings out the Good in people, but we can remember that the best "Sermon" is to be an example of what we believe is worthwhile for our country and the world. Do we want to be a strong and Independent Nation or do we want to be a socialistic poor country... with the very rich in Power and we are their slaves.... that should be the question. There is a very large area of Reporting on TV that concentrates in getting this message across to everyone and also teaching the uninformed of what our country is all about. Thanks for making our country stronger and more optimistic if we have the faith to believe. truly, Pat

WOW, you could write political speeches, my friend!
In high school, we had assembly outdoors every friday around the flagpole as the flag was raised & "America the Beautiful" played over the crackling loudspeakers. My brother was in Vietnam some of those years & this scene brought tears to my eyes. I honestly wonder if the younger generations have a similar heartfelt connection to these lyrics? If not, then the plea in your poem is something I've thought about . . . how we need a fresh dose of appreciation for all we've got here, despite our issues. Your poem says so much of what many are thinking (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I am certain you realize that being a poet and writing a review as you have penned here surely will ripple out to touch the hearts that may be confused. We are the world. Our Country has had a big heart and has fought for Freedom and we only went to war to show that tyranny is not the way to live. Now we have an opportunity to teach the generation how and why we have fought so hard for Democracy... beginning here at home... where we became to comfortable to believe and teach our children that we need good morals and to help and encourage others, as well as to be a good example of how diligently we must once again fight for what others have sacrificed so that we could see proof of what our Constitution can provide if followed as intended. It is not too late. Thank you for your poignant review, Margie. truly, Pat

We have been too complacent in our lives, and suddenly we are listening to the wind. Many of us realize it is not to late to make a difference. No matter how much confusion there may be in all the Media and inPolitics... there is still the golden rule
"Do unto others as you would want them to do not you". If only the Congress of the United States would practice this Rule... no matter which side of the Aisle they may be. Two parties are for checks and balances. "Congress" is made up of the House of Representatives and The Senate. Both parties need to compromise for the good of the people and the future generations.... not for the next Election.
Being selfish and self-centered lead to destruction.

It is always a Spiritual endeavor from the beginning of America to now. I do not mean a (religious endeavor), but when everyone in both parties sincerely think about how the future should be for the present and future generations e.g. growing our own fruits and vegetables, and feeding our cattle a good diet, as well as, chickens and fish... making our waters and lakes and ponds safe and not polluted.
Our Country needs to be wealthy to provide a safe and healthy environment. These are the things that produce Riches for a good mind and Body. truly, Pat
I like the word Plethora... The media needs to realize that the Ai Ways can only Mend our Country if we compromise and work across the Aisle to built and

vote wisely, there could be a new Era of Prosperity.
Thank you, Jacob, for sharing your thoughts. Bless you and yours, truly, Pat
