Earth Day Blessings

Earth Day Blessings

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Blossoms sing in wind and rain

"
Cherry blossoms have fallen

covering the ground in a blanket

of comfort bestowing pure love...

Easter has left colored eggs in the grass

and heaven awaits earth day at last...

Planting trees to grow into rain forests

where giraffes can nibble on leaves and

birds can nest in the boughs of passion sweet.

Rejoice and sing lullabies of rebirth as

Mother Earth celebrates the beauty of

International hope for people everywhere...

We care and provide the growth of love.

so lovely Pat! well said .. read it out loud .... i live int he Ozark Mountains and our forests have recently exploded in all their greenery .. its so dramatic one can see it from moment to moment almost ... never would have made the connection between fallen Cherry blossoms and hidden Easter eggs on the ground .. that is so cool ... we have a couple of flowering Pear trees out front that lost their petals about a week ago ... and its like snowing flowers for a few days ... really enjoyed reading your poem .. took it straight to me ol' heart!

there is such beauty that Mother Earth exudes...i am still looking for a couple of those Easter eggs that my parents hid on my sister and me, back in the 50's--
Happy belated Birthday, Pat.
Hope you had a really good one.

i hope we can someday love each other as people...as well as being a bit more regarding toward Mother Earth...Regardless of what we do to her...she still loves us....much like some people.

This is the best anthem I've ever read for Earth Day! I love it! I can relate to every word. You really packed it full of all the good things happening lately, plus Grandmother Moon has been full & shining in my night windows so brilliantly. I love your imagination, to bring in the giraffes & bird boughs . . . painting nature scenes in our imaginations as you always do so gracefully! Glad you had a great Easter weekend! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Eath Day, like all of our observances it should be all year long. A way of seeing and never just a calendar event.
Maybe your poem will foster that feeling.
Lovely as always.
