A beautiful hope and wish for the hereafter....certainly a wondrous voyage that would be!
If we all truly could choose our own hereafter voyage, unlimited by any constraints and just at the will of our own imaginations, then i am sure most of us would choose such a voyage as you have so poetically described.
Some lovely snippets of internal rhyme in this one , Pat, giving the entire piece a dreamlike, drifting quality fitting for its theme.
A very lovely musing. Wishful and graceful from beginning to end.

What love!y thoughts you have expressed here Pat.You are so creative with your imagery and I can think of no finer way for a spirit to fly than on the delicate and flimsy wings of a butterfly. I would also very much like to stop for tea at the Milky Way cafe for retired writers. My idea of Heaven.

It's so imaginative to express death this way! I've never dreaded death or been afraid of it. But I never thought to write about it so expansively! I was hooked & thinking about what my journey might be like, as I read the first half of your poem, filled with bright imagery. But then I got to the second half, with so many convivial enticements, & I knew I had to reserve my ticket before they run out! I'll see ya there someday . . . you can help me improve my sonnet skills *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

The words in his Song are awesome. He (Train) looks so much like my son Robert who is now 48 yrs old. My son is not a known singer, but he loves life and has two young daughters. He loves the song "drops of Jupiter". I am sending a copy of my poem "Butterfly wings". They live in SLC, Utah. His younger wife Leilani is Navajo Indian, so my granddaughters know their culture also. Hope Spring is in the air. truly, Pat

this makes me imagine seeing the world again when there is nothing but land and water...no other life....and yet here we are in that air balloon...looking down and taking deep breaths...marveling.
