Aurora Borealis Christmas

Aurora Borealis Christmas

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Feathers in colors of Christmas lights...

"
You light up my life as if the Northern lights were

meant to light up the branches of every Christmas tree

with painted buntings in colors bright and sweet...

The Joy of the Season gives us a reason to bloom in

celebration of children every where...

The wise men bring gifts of Frankincense and Myrrh

and Shepherds watch the sheep within the fold...

Angels sing on high where a Star shines

keeping the lost Lamb safe from harm...

Great seasonal piece - makes my imagination stir to images of a bright pure light entering my prism-shaped soul and splitting into a rainbow of emotions within the spirit to support those (especially children) less fortunate than ourselves. Wonderful share ... bless ... :-)

you're so welcome dear friend
I love the phrase "aurora borealis" and I also love the way it looks (altho I've never seen it in person). Since it's been a magical fascination of mine, all my life, it's the perfect pairing, to put the northern lights together with the miracle of Christmas, as you've done in your poem full of warm imagery. I especially love that your poem is a tribute to children all over the world becuz there have never been more perils for the young ones (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Nothing like the Northern lights, and bring them together with love and seasonal warmth, a nice poem for Christmas.

Nice Christmas story! Here where I am, it's not viewed as a religious holiday (only by some Christians) and more of a romatic couples holiday!
