How utterly enchanting, Pat! Your opening verse "of falling leaves in a Chopin nocturne" set the stage for the rest to follow, and what a pageantry of refined brilliance it is. Your dance of nature and poetry go hand in hand to compliment the majestic colors of the Sequoia and Maple trees. And the geese, flying over meadows...what rapture! One of your best, and an instant favorite for me!

It is so refreshing. I adore the Song and try to teach it to my grandchildren... who may not understand the “play on words, but they will when they teach it to their grandchildren. It seems I was more talented as a poet a year ago, but I am trying to still be creative. Hope you and yours are well and safe. With 💕 love and prayers, Pat

hadn't noticed a drop in your ability
All your poems continue to be a bright light
This poem is packed with lively descriptions & fun -- more so than any of yours I've read lately! I love how you play with word sounds: "mango madness / tango tenderness" . . . plus the stanza about apples falling & being gathered up for pies & cider, this conjures up a ton of autumn activities in the reader's mind, some of the most revered aspects of a favorite season for many. You surely brought autumn alive in ways I've not seen, even tho there are many autumn poems this time of year! I'd forgotten all about square dancing & you made it come alive with originality! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There is such a beautiful, tender music in your words. How they carry us all over the glory of autumn, its mystery and magic alive in those sacred colors of life, letting us know it's okay to let go. Reminded me of when I lived in California and my family would go up to the foothills of the Sierras to a place called Apple Hill where we would get fresh cider and apple donuts, and enjoy every breath.

You have painted a picture of your Autumn that is pleasant to the mind, soothing, vibrant and full of sound and colour. Your writes always take your readers into the scenery that you survey and this one is no different. Autumn has always been my favourite season and you have given me a glimpse into yours that I would otherwise never be able to see.
Fine poetry.
