Shadow of Dreams

Shadow of Dreams

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Escapades of love in sunsets glow

"
Her auburn hair with sunsets glow
in a tempest of a lovers soul...
the milk of human kindness in her sigh
she swept the sands of time...

Ships with sails of lustful laughter
against a silhouette of sapphire blue...
embracing the sea and sailors dreams
of mermaids bathing on rugged rocks...

The breast of waves rises to a crescendo
of thunder and lightening in never
ending escapades where
dreamers reach their Shangri la...

Wonderful use of words dear Pat.
"Ships with sails of lustful laughter

I loved the above lines. Powerful and worthwhile words create nice visions of ocean and mermaids. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Wonderfully written, Pat.

Such soulful and delicate imagery throughout. The journey of the traveller, the adventurer, the dreamer is never complete without the love and passion of a beautiful soul. For it drives one onwards to realms beyond the horizon.

This makes me relate to the importance of the muse. For it is the muse who drives the poet to ever greater heights of poetic wonder.

A wonderful piece.

Charming, romantic, gentle and sincere - your poem is all that and more, Patricia. There's something magical about the sea - its movement perhaps. Or is it its moods, the way that little or nothing can control it.. rather like Love. Beautiful thoughts here
