Wooden shoes dance to tulips kiss

On the fourteenth of April  

tulips sway to a lady of fashion 

whose beauty can only be imagined... 

Her warmth and passion give way 

to dreams of faraway places 

across oceans and waves of serenity... 

The month of April gives new birth 

to flowers and birds on wing whose song 

wishes our romantic poet Lydia 

A Happy Birthday on April fourteenth...

dear Angel... I have listened to Windmills of Your Mind by Noel Harrison. The lyrics are tender and tossed by the waves that have snow-capped notes of ecstasy. Definitely one of my favorites. Interesting that the mind and heart are often at odds.

How lovely. My mother loved Holland and tulips, wooden shoes and windmills. She always wanted to visit the fair country but never had the opportunity in life. I hope her spirit has found the fields of tulips she so enjoyed. She planted them all around our house in many colors and enjoyed her gardening so. This was a pleasure to read. Bless.
