Spring Dreams

Bluebirds and butterflies

Once upon a meadow green 

Butterflies sang in harmony... 

Breezes of lilac and wild roses 

hummed lullabies by 

streams of memories... 

Bluebirds flew above the clouds 

like Angels on a mission of 

granting wishes... 

A soft rain fell upon tulips and 

daffodils where Robins gather 

twigs and forget me nots... 

The earth smiles and the sun 

winks as if new beginnings peek 

from under possibilities...

The weather over here has been unpredictable; a choice between T shirts and rainproof coats. Last weekend however was lovely and I took my son Charlie to a local country park. Nothing commercial there aside from a small cafe, (teas and snacks, ice creams.) it's just nature allowed to get on with it's business; and it is so very peaceful.

We went for a walk around the lake, watched the ducks and the swans and various other wildfowl happily getting on with their lives; then at the far end of the park, we came across some rabbits playing in a field and Charlie was utterly enchanted.

Nature has so much beauty on offer and your poem sums that up perfectly.

I loved hearing about your walk with Charlie... the most precious times were walking with my young son and daughter along a stream where rabbits hop along the edge and Mother ducks guide their ducklings along the waters edge.. We have so many Robins in our yard. This Village we moved to is a bird sanctuary.. Cardinals fly close to our bedroom window upstairs. I am hoping to see Chickadees this Summer. As poets we can use words to paint a picture. May your days find you comfy with nature’s gifts. truly, Pat

What a colourful tweet/treat (me trying to be clever!) selection of birds you have to see, wonder at. We dont have Cardinals or Chickadees in the UK so admit to salivatin just a tad at the thought of the especially the CArdinals., Have to say however, we do have truly wondeful murmations of starlings late Autumn tho, they are breathtakingly magical. Last year I (and others) watched it moving for almost firteen minutes over and around a Supermarket in Weymouth, a Dorset holiday town! So, dear lady, we all have our wonders to share with each other.. all glorious.. Tis always a pleasure to share with you, dear friend. xx
