A beautiful story in the poem. Made me wish to read and know more. I like the places of mystery. Myth and tale. True or not. Allow us to transform to different era. A wonderful poem shared dear Patricia. I loved this one.

I would enjoy this opportunity Patricia. I would love to explode Scotland.
This one is close to my heart, being of Scot descent. I have no tartan to wear that I know of but I do wear my Donegal, Ireland scarf and carry my walking stick (I make my own) quite often. I love all things Gaelic and particularly the poetry. I bought my dyed in the wool scarf in a thrift shop for a few dollars. After researching it online I found it quite a bargain, selling for about 45 Euro in its country of origin.

If you look hard enough, you will find it
This often comes to mind when I disappear into the hills to refresh and reboot the mind. Knowing that with the weather and ever changing scenery, you never have to wait too long to find something beautiful and breath-taking. Even places you have seen many times look different each time you visit. Maybe one day Brigadoon will be what is round the next bend.
Beautifully expressed.

One of the best parts of being on this website is learning about things I never knew. Your poem is one of these delightful discoveries! Your whimsical & hopeful message not only introduces this mythical spot with strong imagery, but it harkens to other "places" or "things" we can go to or see only occasionally. Here on the central California coast, century plants grow here & there, sending up one blossom in a lifetime (20 or 30 foot tall frond), supposedly once in a 100 years. Fun to know about your century spot . . . maybe I should write about my century plant one day! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I grew up as a kid spending my Friday and Saturday nights watching the "Golden Years of Hollywood" and Mr.Gene Kelly was one of my first matinee idols. Such a dynamic, inventive dancer who I regard as superior to Fred Astaire, even if he never thought that himself. And Brigadoon was just a beautiful film steeped in a mythological tale told wonderfully. So, i do appreciate this poem, Pat. Your elegant words taking me back to my youth.
A pleasure to read this one.
