the bearded Iris with a tuft of hair ... who but love can love him right!? ;) i think your poem is wonderful ..for me you talk of a love that has smoothed over many rough roads and mountains .. the staying power of loving the most inner other person ... i tell Norma ..I just love your guts to pieces, honey ... she doesn't think its so romantic ...but i do :)

I worked in a few Patent and Trademark law firms in Washington, D.C. As a Secretary before I retired. We had clients from around the world. Each major country has their own Patent and Trademark office. Sometimes attorneys from other countries would visit us
In the USA. We had a Hungarian attorney who new seven languages fluently. It was a "gift" to have that experience. The US Patent Office has a Special price for filing a Patent in about five or so countries. Patents are called Intellectual Property. All these experiences have formed my attitude and I am grateful. truly, Pat

After that, the person would study
Patent Law at the Patent Office in their country. A very unique group of attorneys. Chemical patents would involve medicines. W.I.P.O. Is located in Switzerland. (World Intellectual Property Organization). The specifications for each patent would be pages and pages of details... very technical. We patent secretaries would type for many hours. Now a days, most attorneys do not need secretaries... they type their own specs on the computer and there are many "forms" on computers for filing the patents at the PTO (Patent and Trademark Office) in every country. truly, Pat

Years ago, our daddy used to advise learning something every day, especially when adults! In other words, one is never too old to learn!
Re-reading your message seems: the attorneys have to wear far more than one hat, and. the out of work secretaries no longer have one!
When a Senior student, learning secretarial skills wasn't my extra-curricular choice, but little mum persuaded me and am so pleased to this very day!!!
Must away to my oven.. Thank you so much for broadening my knowledge.. must assimilate and place firmly in memory box. :)
Pat this is so beautiful.. and especially that last line of "peaceful nights of touching earth!" True Love is very much like a flower except that it doesn't wither and die. Bless you and Roger.
