Bells-of-Ireland

Bells-of-Ireland

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Along side Foxglove and snapdragon

"
As we wander this land of ours...
we see footsteps of our ancestors from afar...
as if following a star...
from Hungary and Ireland and
many countries with
cultures of their own...

They gladly learn our ways
and language too
with tulips from The Netherlands
we love and plant in Autumn...
Church bells and synagogues
along with others are welcome...

A multicultural Ireland.....a nice vision indeed.

As much as we all want to integrate into each other's countries and culture's, the sad fact is that some immigrants fail to adapt to and adopt the culture of the country they choose to live in. It is sad, but a true fact. And that is where dissension arises from.

Your write is hopeful and well expressed. I just hope your message is adopted in all its entirety in this pivotal day and age.

We all have ancestry from across the pond as some say. This country is based on those who came and joined the American Indians. We need to remember that more often. Valentine

I enjoyed this poem dear Patricia. Home is where we feel safe and we love. I learn when I was far-away from home. How I missed her. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
